Our Dog of the Month is.....Bertie!
Bertie is a Lhasa Apso cross Terrier who came to us for the first time yesterday for a hair cut.
His wonderful owner found him purely by chance on an unplanned visit to
Birmingham Dogs Home. He was all alone in kennel D4 and was just 16
weeks old. The lady knew straight away that he was meant for her and
her children and ran back down to reception to claim him
...
.
They were shocked to learn that he had been dumped in a bin like a
piece of rubbish and left all alone at 16 weeks of age. 7 long days
later, they were allowed to take him home for good.
He is the sweetest, most chilled out dog and has been loving and loyal to his new owners for the past year and a half.
It just goes to show that with a kind and loving family a dog can learn to trust again.
